Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Captain John Wayne Haddock

Dear Father we ask that you give peace, comfort and understanding to his wife and family during the time of their grief. He gave his life so others may live. Receive him oh Lord and reward him with his riches, To others who love him and knew him and also to his law enforcement family. We offer prayer up for all of you. His co-workers lost a dear brother. Lord grant them peace at this time. For these things we ask, we do so in Jesus name, Amen...

Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“ uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place. As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say its ok you’re with your eternal partners. A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

I worked with John Wayne for many years. He was a good man and a good officer. He has a beautiful family and was a great husband and father. He always had a smile for everyone. He will be deeply missed by so many people. Please say a prayer for his family and his family at the Grenada Police Dept.

I'm sadden to her of the lost of fellow LEO from the State of Mississippi. I haven't had the opportunity to meet CPT. Haddock, but I see from the reflections he was a well liked servant to the citizens of Grenada. We hate that any of our brothers and sister lose their lives in this manner but we know that incidents like this sometimes happen. To the family, friends, and Grenada PD-Just know that many mourn with you today and pray that God comforts your aching hearts.
