How tragic. My heart goes out to the families of all involved. I know those guys were probably having good coversation and looking forward to a safe evening. Reserve officers are a blessing and it is nice to know that they would have your back on a call because often the shift is short-staffed. GOD Bless all of you and the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office.

Sgt. Rene' Swanson
Henry County Police Department

Thank you, to the family and friends of Deputy Mike Roberts for his service and sacrifice. I pray that you will find peace and comfort in this tragic loss.
The Bible tells us in John 15:13-Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Have comfort in knowing that God blesses men and women that put their lives in harms way to protect others.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Matthew 5:9

To family and friends:

'God didn’t promise days without pain,
laughter without sorrow, sun without rain;
but He did promise strength for the day,
comfort for the tears and light for the way'.

Rest in peace Mike Roberts.
