If tears could build a stairwell and memories were a lane, I would walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again. No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye...you were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why. Our hearts still ache in sadness, and secret tears still flow, what it means to lose you, no one will ever know.

Rest in Peace Deputy Sleeper

My sincerest regards to the family of Deputy Sheriff Sleeper. It's so sad to lose any officer, no matter what line of duty they are in, but Deputy Sleeper was so young. I just wanted to give my deepest sympathies to his family and friends. I didn't know him, but I know the officers are a brotherhood, and I respect that greatly. May you find peace. You will be in my prayers.

Dear Family of Deputy Sleeper,

We have lost another brother. Even though I did not know Deputy Sleeper, my heart breaks for all those who did. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends. Thank you for your service and your dedication.

To the family, I truly feel your pain and your loss. On June 19, 2010, my husband, Deputy Dean Ridings with the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office in Spotsylvania Virginia, lost his life while on duty in a tragic boating accident patrolling Lake Anna Marina. I have to live with that hurt in my heart every day. A hurt that no one should ever have to endure. I will keep your family in my prayers. May Deputy Sleeper Rest In Peace.

Sincerely,
Anna Marie Ridings
