On the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the United States,I wish to make this Statement on behalf of the people of Australia. While what I say may not be agreed upon by all of my countrymen and countrywomen...we like the United States are a robust democracy, linked by a common history, ancestary, blood and language. In every war this century...Australians and Americans have stood shoulder to shoulder. A belief in the ultimate values that our two countries share. To all the police officers, firefighters and emergency workers who endured the events of 9/11 let it be known...you were not alone. The tyranny of terrorrism will never prevail. We are fighting a war yet again. With our beliefs pinned to our hearts...we will prevail...we will not and cannot fail. As an Australian citizen may God bless our two countries. To quote the Welsh Poet Dylan Thomas ...."Do not quietly into the gentle of the night....but rage,rage...against the dying of the light" Brian Kenna,Knoxfield,Victoria,Australia.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of a officer even though i never knew this man. He seemed to be an upstanding and wonderful man, & it is a shame he had to leave this world a day before what we would as Americans be coming together to honour all of the fallen in the 9/11 attacks. But as I read this man did not want to give up he was doing what he was called to do protect and serve his community. Now Jesus Christ will protect him. Rest In Peace Constable for you, Texas lawman are quite a few, but an officer like you was little & hard to come by it sounds like. R.I.P. +++
