I got to know you well when we took the prison course together at GC&SU during the summer of 2010. I was heartbroken to hear the news of this tragic accident and found it too hard to write anything until now. You were such a hard worker and would brighten any room that you walked into. May you rest in peace and may your family be forever comforted.

Was just thinking about you while I sat here eating at Amici in Milledgeville. You always had a smile on your face behind the bar, and were such a sweetheart. I’ll never forget coming by the night of your funeral. They closed the place down to celebrate you, and I was on duty, but I came in and gave everybody a big hug for you. Rest In Peace, bud!!

Officer Bishop,

I never met you personally, but I worked for Marietta North Probation at the time you were killed. I knew your roommate from the Academy and she took your death very hard. My deepest sympathy goes out to your family and friends. May they find peace in knowing that you have gone to a better place.

My heart goes out to your family for I know the love they have for you and how much they miss you. They carry your precious memories in their hearts and will never let you be forgotten. I salute you for the brave person you must have been. I gave over 30 years of service in law enforcement and always thought highly of those that chose the correctional service for that takes a very brave person to be locked behind those walls with the worse of the worst any your job is to keep us safe. Thank you for your service, you will not be forgotten.

Tiffany and family - I think of the day you came by our office here in Rome and said hello and met each of us and chatted for awhile. You were so nervous to be going off to your new job soon with DOC in Rome but oh so excited. I think of you often and the sadness we all felt for you and your family when we heard the tragedy. I know the risks working in L/E and as a child of a Police Officer in Atlanta, I know the news of losing a loved one is never easy, especially in the line of duty or training. RIP Tiffany and will see you one day! Peace to the family.

Tiffany, although we never met, I feel as though I know you. I have a daughter, also named Tiffani, approx 1 yr older than you. I am also a L.E. Firearms Instructor. When I read of your passing, it touched me in a way that only a Father could understand. Everyday I wear a mourning band on my right wrist with your name on it. This is to remind me to be extra vigilant while teaching my Firearms Training Courses to ensure this does not happen to someone else's daughter.
Additionally, this Memorial Day weekend (May 26-27, 2013) I will be participating in the "Carry the Load" event in Dallas, TX. This event honors the memory of Fallen Heroes (Military, L.E., Fire, E.M.S, etc) This year, I will be carrying your memory..........

Dear sweet niece, hard to believe it has been a year since you were so tragically taken from us. We miss you and love you always.

It eases the pain to know you are in the Blessed company of the Lord and Grammie, Papaw, and Uncle Dave.

Although I did not know you personally, you were a sister. You will not be forgotten. Myself, and about 30 other officers from my outfit completed our annual firearms recertification at the very same place and time that you were taken away from us one year ago. As we did our courses of fire and practiced safety, you were on our minds.
