Our thoughts and prayers to the Lasso family, The Freemansburg Police Dept, the community of Freemansburg and the Northampton County Law Enforcement family.

My Son in law faces these dangers every day as a Police Sgt. in South Carolina and we often forget or don't appreciate how much our officers sacrifice every day to protect and serve our community.

We are truly saddened at the loss of Officer Lasso and send our deepest condolences. May he rest in peace and thank you for your service and bravery.

My heart aches at the tragic and stunning loss of another young father, friend, husband, officer, family member, community servant. Officer Lasso, your honor and dedication and your ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten. Thank you for your service. To all who visit this page: I am from a country where it is illegal for civilians to own firearms. But I support people's right here to own a weapon. However, how could a garbage drug addict with arrest records own a gun is really beyond me. Should they be denied the right to have a weapon if they were convicted criminals, or at least for a period of time, say 10 years?
