What a tragedy that this young officer lost his life while trying to save another. I did not know Brian personally, but got to know his wife when she coached volleyball at Chadron State College. I know Amy was very much in love with this brave and courageous young man. I pray and hope that God will watch over Brian and his family during this tragic time.

I can so relate to Bryan;s mom. I lost a son 28 years ago and I still grieve for him. He was not a hero, in the sense Bryan was, but was killed my a drunk driver.
