Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Richard Joseph "Rick" Daly

Our nation has lost another hero, and although I know it is a question that can't really be answered at this time, I can't help but ask why? Why are we losing the best men and women we've been blessed with, in this country?
You are a true Hero Deputy Sheriff Richard "Rick" Jerome Daly, 98% of Americans, including myself can only pray to be half the person, you've been in this life. You will not be forgotten. For many, you are an inspiration for us to strive and be the best we can be. All the years you gave to your community, this nation...it may have seemed futile at times, but I assure you and your fellow Deputies...your valor, honesty, concern for people, their rights and safety are THE reason 'we' can enjoy freedom and live in a civilized society. I'm so sincerely sorry for the loss, of those who knew and loved you. I pray for the strength needed for loved ones and fellow Deputies and friends to heal. I will make it a point in the time I have left to increase public awareness, in regards to the importance of Law Enforcement. God Bless you all and Thank you.

Thank you for loving on me and my husband. The 1st time I met you, you started out by saying, "Hello" and ended with "Take care". The last time I saw you, just last week, you started with "Hello" and ended with "Take care". Thank you for never saying "Goodbye" because I know we will meet again. Those who truly live for the Lord, know to be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord. May the spirit of the Most High God rest upon your family and keep their hearts and minds in perfect peace.

Deputy Daly's passing in the line of duty is hurtful. May god rest his soul. May justice be brought for his family. I can not understand how a teenager would ruin his life by taking another. All he had to do was go to jail and do his time.
