Rick was a man who would leave you with an impression. After speaking with Rick you would feel uplifted, and refreshed. Rick and I would laugh for an entire shift, he was that kind of a guy. Spreading joy without even realizing it. I miss you my friend. I thank you for all you did for me. The example of a truely good man, friend and cop. Rest easy brother, we got this.
my prayers and thoughts are with the family and the rest us.

First and foremost my condolences to your wife and your children. To serve our country or our community is a gift those who have not served do not understand, but those that have served can be proud of. To give your life to that service is a lost that those that loved you will never forget and is the ultimate gift. To the family of the servant who gave his life have faith in God. Lean on him, he has you. Your lost your loved husband and the father you looked up to your whole life. Have solice in the fact that eventually you will come to grips, those around you will remind you how loved and respected your lost one was. Deputy Daly obviously loved what he did, or he would have retired. Any one that knows Deputy Daly's survivors please stay with them, show them love and lift them up. What must happen now is the family must grieve, and the community must step up and somehow raly and talk to every troubled young man and women they know and preach to them on the right things to do. Taking an officers life who is just doing his job can not be tolerated. All we can hope for now that justice is served and is just. God speed to your family Deputy Daly and may god bless your sole and let you rest. Your tour of duty is over and may you rest in peace.

Dear Father,
It was only a moment,
but
In that moment a madman walked in
In that moment the world was changed.
In that moment countless lives, were utterly altered.
In that moment our hearts began breaking.
In these moments we speak names previously unknown:
With reverence, we speak his name, Deputy rick Daly.
In a moment our line of BLUE stretched out across the nation.
That hard, fast and steady line of BLUE has been breached.
In these moments help us as we have all become a part of the
line of BLUE.
Dry our tears, comfort our broken hearts, strengthen our weaken knees, cure our confusion.
May the line of BLUE draw a circle around us pulling back our hope.
May the line of BLUE be a shield before us.
May the line of BLUE carry us into the moments of our future.
A future made sure by their sacrifice in a moment.
It was only a moment and they were gone but
we and the line of BLUE go on…

In honor of the fallen.

This is a shame. We all look for that 25 year mark as a goal. This child just took all his dreams in a matter of seconds, with no fear of consequenses. I pray that God guides a jury's hands and gives justice to this officer. To bad the tacticle team couldnt have done it sooner. R.I.P from a 14 year vet and survivor.
