I have known Brent for a long time and had the pleasure of working with him when he was a dispatcher and then he became a THPD officer. He was very good at his job and took great pride in it. You will be sorely missed by all THPD and even more by your wife and children.

Go walk a beat on Heaven's streets, You've done your time in hell. Thank you for your unwavering service and the ultimate sacrifice.

I did not know Officer Long. I heard the story on the news and it just broke my heart. We have suffered a great loss even when it is not in the community we live in. ALL of these fine Men and Women that protect our communities and put their lives at risk for all of us can never be appreciated enough.

AS for poor Shadow. He will no doubt be lost without you. I hope he heals quickly and can somehow bring comfort to your family Office Long. He is brave as are all K9 officers.

Rest in Peace! AND Thank you for your service!
