When I think of three words to describe Eli, I think of Brave, Fearless and Determined. That is Eli. That is the legacy he leaves in my mind to reflect on. To see how small the world can be, 25 years ago, I was at my college homecoming half-time show where they presented a airshow for us. A man jumped out of an airplane thousands of feet up and landed on the 50 yard line with a football in his hands. The crowd went wild in amazement. 20 years later my husband would introduce me to "Eli" his partner the Policeman/Paratrooper. It has been a pleasure to know a great Career man of Police Officer/ Paratrooper. "Eli great work and Service, you are resting in Our Heavenly Father's Arm now. I will continue to pray for your family. God Bless You and Family!

July 7th was the first night back to work for me after Eli's death. It was a very difficult and long night. After I heard any calls coming in from dispatch wishing I could hear Eli's call number 106. After never hearing his call no. 106 really made this bad dream I thought I was having a reality. It is going to be a long time and some lonesome days for myself and fellow co-workers here at the Sanford Police Department. To all the Law Enforcement families throughout the nation, please continue to pray for our brother's family and all family members who have lost a police officer in the line of duty.

To the Eli Colonroche Family, friends, co-workers, etc....I have a son in Law Enforcement here in Georgia....and I must say....I keep a heavy heart, as, unless you have a loved one in this field or the Military....no one KNOWS how you just dread that "phone call or visit". I live approx. 200 miles from where my son works, so it's even harder for me. But...I consider us ALL "one BIG family". My heart-felt condolences to ALL of you. May God be the one to give you the strength to get through this and all of the days to follow. Officer Colonroche was a very brave man & hero. He not only served his Country.....but he served the citizens where he lived, and I don't think he will ever be forgotton. May he rest in peace, and may God bless each and every one of you through your time of sorrow and healing. My prayers are with you all.
