Reflections for Sheriff James D. "Dee" Stewart

To family and friends:

'God didn’t promise days without pain,

I am always so heart-broken when I read about an Officer's passing. This latest accident is so tragic. I cannot imagine what grief Sheriff Stewart's family, friends and brothers and sisters in law enforcement is going through. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I will also particularly pray for his grandson who I am certain must be reeling from this terrible set of circumstances. Sheriff Stewart is a hero and now an angel looking out for his family. Thank you for your service Sheriff Stewart....RIP and God bless.

Had the pleasure of meeting Sheriff Dee Stewart years ago when he was an officer with Griffin PD...Met him at Mama's rest. I was singing there that nite and Mama introduced us and we were asked to vote for him for sheriff. WE did...Thru the years, we feel he made Spalding County proud and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him..Prayers for his family as he watches over them from HEAVEN.

I usually don't post anything but for this one I must. My sympathy for Sheriff Stewart's family. I also wish to express how devastating it must be for Sheriff Stewart's grandson and how it must be affecting him but through this he feels God's love for him. I pray for the grandson that he would not let this guilt consume him. For all of the family at this time, I pray they will all feel God's love surrounding them and to feel at peace even though they are deeply saddened.
