To the families of Sgt. D.Curley
My condolence and prayers are out to you for the loss of your love one; I was once in your shoe; it is heartrending and feels like the end of the world for you. I feel the pain and how sad you must feel; this sorrowful time must still feel unreal, but as days pass by the reality will come. At this moment you can’t comprehend and concentrate; few people know just what you’ve lost. People might say be strong, but nope you are not and can’t at this moment. However, as the days go by you will get back on your feet and it will take years. He will always be your HERO! Take care and god bless! If you ever want to talk don’t hesitate to email.

I had the opputunity to work and meet Sgt. Curley; he was a wonderful person. He sure will be miss...
Sincerely,
Vangie & kids

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the family of Sgt. Darrell Curley. I worked with his wife for 21 years at Bashas, that's when I met Sgt. Curley. He was a very nice and careing gentleman. I know he cared a great deal for his family, it just reflected on him. He always had a smile coming in and going out. Darrell, you will be missed. It was a shock to hear. I'm sure you have greater things to do in the heavens above, hear on earth you will be missed, but the angles in heaven are glad to have you, to continue your smile and careing way. You are a Great Warrior, Thank you for the duties that you have accomplished here on earth and for pretecting our reservation. Our prayers continue for your Family.

Dear Curley Family:

All of us in Page, AZ are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic death of Darrell Curley. Words are totally inadequate to express our feelings, but please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Although we are very sad, we should all take some solace in the good and lasting work that Darrell did in his too-brief lifetime. Pauline,
Please accept our deepest condolences on the loss of your husband Darrell and to you the children your father, the rest of the family your brother, uncle, cousin and son. There are not enough words to begin to convey the loss you are enduring.
Darrell was a true Protector, Provider and Peace Keeper for the people of the Navajo Nation, in Indian Country and for this great country of ours. His service was to all and that included those of us whom shared the life of a Navajo Police Officer with him.
As a fellow LEO and friend I want you the family to know that Sergeant Curley as was his title, is an exemplary person and professional whom I am proud to have worked alongside and to have shared the Warrior Life with.
Darrell my friend and fellow cake eater, thank you for taking care of all of us and to your family, thank you for sharing him with us as we prepare to send him onto the Holy One’s.
To all my fellow Warriors, May you all be blessed with Strength, Wisdom, Guidance and Protection as we go forward in this journey called life and as we mourn the loss of a brother.

Francis E. Bradley Sr., Chief of Police
Hualapai Nation Police Department
