As a Dickson county resident I saw Keith grow into a fine young man. I am sickened by our loss but I am very thankful he had a relationship with our Lord and Savior. What peace that brings.
May God bless and keep his family and give them strength.

It's heartbreaking everytime to read of another fallen Brother or Sister. The Police Officer was born at the foot of he Cross when the Roman soldier looked up and knew it was truly the Son of God, and He knew at that point he was to Protect and not destroy. What a powerful charge the Officer has from on High. God Bless our Soldiers everyday... but we still have the One that stands between us and harms way right here on our streets. Deputy Bellar would want us to first live for the Lord, don't put the badge on your chest unless you have God in your heart, and then every chance we get, say Thank You to that officer in our neighborhood, or send him/her a Thank You card for keeping us safe and just being there; or perhaps finding out when his/her birthday or anniversary is and just tell them we are thinking about them today, and give them a call once in a while that might say; we just brought our new baby home, wanted you to share our happiness, since we see you patrolling our street and keeping us safe to raise a child, or hey, my son/daughter wants to be a police officer, could you encourage them in direction.... Why... because they are sworn to care for us, and the least we could do is let them know that their life means something to us... Deputy Bellar left home, wth the hopes of returning to his wife and child... but in a heartbeat his life was taken and ours changed forever. His family certainly has our prayers, and that is little consolation for them, even the Lord understands that, as He made us all. To Deputy Bellar's family, we will trust and do better, and uphold his and others honor for the sacrifice he gave. God Bless the Wife, the Child, his Family and Friends, the Innocent Victim of this, His Brother/Sister Officers, and God Bless America! I have a presentation at church for Freedom's Cost, and this is a growing statistcs that is painful to present.

Deputy Bellar thank you for your service and my heartbreaks when I read we have lost another so young , married with children. Mrs. Bellar there is nothing I can say, but that your husband is a hero, when other fled he stood the ground to protect others. I know words will never replace him, but do believe he will always be close to you and your children. He will be that breeze on your cheeks, the warm embrace feeling you get when no one is near and when times look dark like now, the calm feeling you will get is from him watching over both all of you from heaven. You and your family are in my families prayers and if this part of your law enforcement family can help, we are here for you.

Though I've moved from the area, my 7 years in Dickson County will always have me referring to it as "home".

I was always thankful and grateful for the men and women of the Dickson County Sheriff's Dept. and Dickson PD who patrolled and helped keep the area as safe as possible.

May your family and friends find comfort in knowing you served your county with dignity and honor.

Rest well, Deputy Bellar, your watch has ended.

Rest in Peace brother, I am so sorry for the loss that your family and department have to deal with on such a despicable act.
