His Judgment Day:
The officer stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shinning, Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, Officer, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek To my church have you been true?"
The officer squared his shoulder and said, "No, Lord, I guess I aint, Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was rough, And sometimes I've been violent Because the streets are tough.
But I never took a penny That wasn't mine to keep.. Though I worked a lot of overtime, when the bills got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept an unmanly tear.
I know I don't deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't...I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne, where the saints often trod. As the officer waited quietly for the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, Officer. You've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on heaven's streets, You've done your time in hell"

Rest in peace brother, The Thin Blue Line will be our constant reminder of your sacrifice, as with the other warriors before you. May God bless and hold dear your family and friends in this time of need. This brought tears to my eyes to think that such a young warrior with a family so new has given the ultimate sacrifice to all of us. To Kurt's wife, I know that this is all is not much comfort now, but please know that we are all praying and wishing your family comfort. To Kurt's children, I hope that in time the hurt will ease and you will have the reminder that your daddy was not only a hero to you both, but a Hero to us who walk that thin blue line. My deepest condolences and tears are with you all.

To be absent with the body is to be present with the Lord....not just present but face to face with our Savior. This is a tragic loss for the Onedia County community and the Wyman and Boersma families. I am so thankful for the hope of a home in heaven and know Kurt is there with his Savior now.
To Lynette, Brain and Angie, please know how much we hurt and pray for strength and the Lord's presence in these days.
To Lauren and your precious little ones please know we will pray for you continually that you will be strengthened with only the strength that the Lord himself can give. May you feel His presence and care for you all in this time.
Please know you are loved and prayed for continually,
Much love,
Anne and family

Kurt,

I never had the opportunity to really get to know you, but you did back me up on a call just days before you left us. From what I see others have written, that was the kind of guy you were. I thanked you that morning for the help, and I Thank You again.

Thank you also for your service to our Country, and of course your service to our County.

My condolences go out to the entire Wyman Family...including everyone at the Sheriff's Office. Stay strong, and rest assured that the rest of your law enforcement family is here to help all of you during this horrific time.

Kurt, you will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Brother.

I went to high school with Kurt and he was always a great role model to look up to. A very motivated young man. I just can't believe this kind of news...it takes your breath away to even imagine what the family is going through. My prayers go out to the Wyman family. You will be missed Kurt. You accomplished so much in your short life. You were taken too soon. Thank you for your service and for all that you have done.
