I did not have the pleasure of knowing you, but I have the honor of knowing your wife, Alisha, and your beautiful son, Kevin. He is a ball of energy and wit, kind and funny. Alisha is a beautiful soul and I am a better person now that I know her. While you are up there, find my husband, Caleb. I’m sure y’all will be great friends, too. We will forever be Blue Family.

I will never forget that night. We were called out to the crime scene to pick up an investigator to take pictures from the air. The original crash investigation scene was well protected and still the intoxicated driver broke through the barricades. This was TOTALLY preventable.

People, please don't drive if you are getting drunk or high!

I'm sitting here going through ODMP, reading stories of those who gave their all, who lost their lives, and the effect it's had on so many, how so many stories, so many lives, and so many deaths intertwine and connect to others...you just never know. I sometimes read these pages, to remember and honor those lost, to pray for those left behind, to remind myself that every day I put on this uniform, I could be next.

Even though I never knew you, I will never forget you, the stories I've been told about you, about the good man, husband, and step-father that you were, the father you never got to be to your son, those will never be forgotten.

RIP brother.

John 5:28, 29 - "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

Officer Will, it's been nearly 5 years since you left us. We miss you everyday. Your death was very tragic and it should have never happened. That man made too many bad decisions that night, all leading up to him taking your life. You're always in my thoughts. You will never be forgotten Officer Will.

Kevin, you are truly a hero! Justice has been served and the offender has gotten what he deserves for taking a great person, hero, husband, father, son, friend, Neighbor and a hard working Police Officer from us and out of this world too soon! Unfortunately your watch ended way to soon. We all know that you are up in heaven shining down on us and still watching over us with your angel wings.

I will never forget the day that I heard of your passing. Us neighbors of yours came together and prayed for your family, your Co workers at HPD, all your friends. I have placed the newspaper article of your passing, funeral program, blue ribbon I wore at the funeral displayed on my wall in my office. I will never forget you and your legacy

I am privileged to pay tribute to you. Your heroism and service is honored today, the first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for the solace of all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace, Thanks to your friends for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their reflections.

Rest In Peace

I never knew you but will continue to honor your memory and the service you did for the people you swore to protect. Job well done, Kevin.
I planned on riding to Washington D.C. in the 2012 Police Unity Tour (Chapter II) FOR you.
I realized during the Tour that in fact, you were riding WITH me.
Thanks for the company of your spirit and determination.
God Bless Alisha and your family as they work through this anniversary. May justice be done in the next few weeks.
