Reflections for Sergeant Brian Scott Dulle

Rest in peace my brother!

Brian,
It has been awhile since I have visited you here. The jury reached a guilty verdict for murder and 7 other counts today. Sentancing is tommorow. Alot has happened in the last few months. All of the guys who were too busy to get together (me included) are getting back together for beers, bonfires and some 13s. Its been tough on everybody but rest asured you family will be looked after. We got your fence fixed and stained this summer and it looks good. I miss you alot brother and you even made me open my wedding pictures just so i could see you. Talk at you later.

Dulle, since May 10th I've spent a lot of time thinking about you and your family (including your SO family) and how life was going to go on without you here. I've shed a lot of tears along the way, mostly thinking of how profoundly your loss has affected those closest to you. While I knew it hurt that you had passed, and I knew that I was going to miss hearing your "good morning" and seeing your smile, I didn't know that I was going to bawl when I held your raincoat that came out of your cruiser, or that your banged up old flashlight would become a treasured item. Or that I'd wake up this morning crying because I had had a dream where you were in a training class that I was in and I could hear your voice again. You were a friend to so many people, you were a great OIC on midnights, and you are truly and deeply missed. God Bless You and keep you until we meet again.

Brian, This is the first time I have really been able to visit the ODMP site, much less your memorial. I am still trying make sence of all this and wrap my head around what has happend since May 10. I think we ALL look at life a little different. Tragedy can strike our little world anytime. I still pray daily for Abbie and your childern. Your loss has touched so many people in so many ways. I do want to thank you for helping April deciede to finally get her camaro. A day doesn't go by that I don't think of some goofy story from the past 12 years. Thank you for who you were and I am so honored to have known you. Watch over us all. Until we meet again, love Timmy....

I just want to send my best to your family. Words can't describe just how unbelievable this whole situation is. You're no longer here physically but your spirit lives on. Any time a police officer is lost that is a horrible thing. Any time someone chooses to protect those who can't protect themselves and pays the ultimate price for it, the world is worse off. Your spirit will always live on. May God bless you and your family, you have paid the ultimate sacrifice protecting the community in which you served. I believe in my heart you will always look upon your family. I just wish your family and the Warren County Sheriffs Office the best during this very difficult and trying time. May you rest in peace and God bless you. You will never be forgotten, An amazing man, father, husband, and police officer. Thank you for your service, God bless

As i sit here and write this, all i can do is think of the times we had together. You were my coworker, but most of all you were my friend. as we put you to rest on Saturday it hit me that i will no longer see you here on earth. i saw as abbie maddie, emma and jackson cried over their loss and it was tearing me apart. they will never recover from the loss of you but we will be there to help them in anyway. it was a privilege to know you and thanks for being my friend. i miss you and always will. i take a little comfort in knowing that we will meet again. godspeed 22

Oh Dulle, you're so deeply missed by everyone. You're definitely one of a kind. Over the past few days I've realized how many lives you have touch. We all can still hear your voice in our heads. So many amazing memories of you. I've heard so many hilarious and heart warming stories about you in the past few days. We've all come together in honor of you. No black shirts, blue shirts or gray shirts in the county anymore, only brothers and sisters. Rest in knowing you will never be forgotten and Abbie and the kids will always be looked after. You are a great man and a great warrior. You will live on, forever in our hearts. Until we 17 again my dear brother.....
