Reflections for Police Officer Rolando Alberto Tirado

For Police Officer Rolando Tirado:

The law officer perseveres in a world that is too full of individuals who bring crime, death and misery to a general populace of true Americans. Rolando stood as a protector and shield of such people while he worked extra hours to provide for himself and those close to him. We regret that he would have a fate that would include being slain by scum in our society. We are thankful for an equally brave partner who was able to exact some justice for Roalando.

We pray for Rolando's family, friends, co-workers and all who care for him and hope they reach-out to one another in the days ahead. We now rely upon our criminal justice system for futher disposition in this case.

We also pray for the full-recovery of Rolando's partner who we deem tremendously courageous and superbly self-disciplined in the face of terror and mayhem.

We are proud to Officer Rolando Tirado a final salute.

To the friends and family of Police Officer Rolando Tirado, I first hand understand the pain and anger of loosing a friend, fellow brother in arms and family member in the line of duty. In Jan 2010, Javier Bejar of the Reedley California Police Department was also killed in the line of duty serving his community such as Police Officer Rolando Tirado did. He will always be remembered as the hero he was and as the friend to all people of Arizona. Me and my friends and family hold you in our prayers and thoughts God leads you down this dificult road.

"Rolando Sir, Well done my faithful servant, now come help me police the streets of heaven." God.

His Judgment Day:
The officer stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shinning, Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, Officer, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek To my church have you been true?"
The officer squared his shoulder and said, "No, Lord, I guess I aint, Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was rough, And sometimes I've been violent Because the streets are tough.
But I never took a penny That wasn't mine to keep.. Though I worked a lot of overtime, when the bills got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept an unmanly tear.
I know I don't deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't...I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne, where the saints often trod. As the officer waited quietly for the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, Officer. You've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on heaven's streets, You've done your time in hell"

The sound of gunfire echoes,
Angels look down in sorrow,
Another officer has fallen,
The Gates of Heaven swing open,
A hero is welcomed home.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. (Matthew 5:9)
