Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer J. Christopher Kilcullen

I will never forget all the smiles you brought to me and to everyone around you. Nia and I were just talking about ring shopping for hours with you and how excited you were to propose. And being the new guys on RDU together...the list of good times goes on.

I miss you so much already and struggle with your loss. Watch over us brother and we shall meet again someday.

Chris was a great friend, i lived right next door to his mom and can remember when my brothers and i were using his basketball hoop during summer break, and the hoop broke. Chris came out, fixed the hoop, then looked at me( I was the smallest kid there,) and said hey britt dont hit the board ao hard next time. He continued the cool, calm good nature into all aspects of life. Our family will miss him dearly.

Chris,

I know you are not here to read this. I just wanted to thank you for being such a nice friend to our son Tyler. We met you through him and enjoyed running into you here and there.

I got to see you often at Duck games and at the deli in the building where I work and enjoyed our conversations. I will miss you my friend.

I attended a couple of trainings with Officer Kilculen in the past few years. I thought he was an awesome guy and went to lunch with him several times during the trainings. I found in the short periods of time that I was around him, that everything people are saying about his outgoing personality is true. So much so, he is the only persons name I could remember out of 30+ other officers at the training. RIP brother and thanks for your service.

Officer Kilcullen, thank you for your dedication and sacrifice. You, along with so many are heroes to us all and we can't thank you enough. You can rest knowing the suspect is in custody; however, this is definitely no means to an end as we all know. Prayers go out to your family as they mourn and cope with your absence. You are forever in our hearts and minds. Thank you again, good sir, for laying down your life.

Chris always had a smile on his face and was the kindest, gentlest biggest teddy bear of a man. In high school, I went with him and a few friends on some outings and I have such fond memories. I know he will be missed by so many. His wife must be very special and I pray for comfort and strength for her and the girls.
