Reflections for Police Officer Andrew Scott Dunn

Rest In Peace Brother

Brother In Blue

March 20, 2011

I transferred to Sandusky approximately two and a half years ago. Andy was one of the first police officers I met after my transfer. He immediately made me feel welcome. Andy invited me to come and play basketball with some of the other officers in area. I thought it was kind of funny since I'm a pretty short guy. I told him that I'm not very good at basketball, but he didn't seem to care. I believe he genuinely just wanted me to feel welcome. I know there is nothing I can say to make this tragedy any better, but my condolences go out to his family. God bless you, Andy.

To the family and friends of Officer Dunn:
Words will never be able to express how truly sorry I am for your loss, how much I wish I could take this pain away from each of you, or how deeply I wish I could make sense of this. But words fail us now and they always will. Please know by our actions, though, that you and your family, his life and service, and his sacrifice will never be forgotten by his brothers and sisters in blue and his NCEA family.

God bless you and all who loved him.

Daughter of Ptl. William B. Bell, EOW 11-19-02 and

Officer Dunn {Andy as i knew him} will be sorely missed in this community, ive been an acquainted with him since his days as an officer @ Cedar Point PD. Little guy, big heart.

My heartfelt condelences to his family, and friends whom knew him better than I. The lights of Sandusky are less bright with his passing.

Rest easy Andy, your sacrifice will never go unnoticed or forgotten.
