Reflections for Police Officer Andrew Scott Dunn

7 years, and it seems like yesterday all over. Always think of you Andy, and have become pretty good friends with Caleb and Conner. A void was left in many lives on March 19th 2011. I have a special file of your pics on my laptop, and look at it often for memories of you. Rest easy my friend until we meet again.

7 Years..... these have been the longest and shortest 7 years of my life. I miss you so much. Just being able to call you or to have you pick on me. But what makes me the saddest is that you aren't here to watch your boys grow up, and man are they growing up!! Your nieces, cousins, grandparents, aunts/uncles and friends also miss you. I know you are up there welcoming so many new brothers/sisters, please continue to watch over us all!! Until we are together again, I love you!!!

We miss you everyday. But this week missed calling/seeing you on Thanksgiving, meeting up at the lighting ceremony downtown and today as I watch the Buckeyes knowing how you would be yelling at the tv, makes me really miss you!!

Just a few days ago, many co-workers and friends gathered on Tyler St. @ 3am to remember Andy. Each year we gather, it does not come any easier. I will always remember you Andy, as not a day goes by that I don't think of you. Rest easy my Brother. #2083 EOW 03.19.2011.

In Loving Memory of A Dear Brother at Christmas

Christmas time brings back memories
that are still painful to bear~
You were such a wonderful big brother
I dearly miss you not being here....

I treasure my memories of you dearly~
You were such a special brother to me....
I miss you so very much
especially during this season.

You may have been taken out of sight,
but nothing can take you out of my heart...
You live forever in my memories
from where you could never depart.
As I remember you this Christmas season,
I cherish my memories of you, and always will.
__________________________________________
I cannot believe today is the 6th Christmas we have had to spend without you. I would give just about anything to spend another Christmas like we did as kids. I can't describe how much I miss you. Everyone that said it would get easier with time...I know they meant well I just wonder how much time did they mean?.

Merry Christmas Big Brother!! I cannot wait until we can spend it together again!!

Love and missing you always!!

I had the honor of riding 51 miles on behalf of Officer Andrew Dunn in the Texas Wheels of Justice Heroes Ride yesterday. It greatly saddens me that Officer Dunn's life was extinguished so quickly and thoughtlessly by the individual who opened fire on him while he was serving to protect members of his community. I am inspired by his courage and bravery - he opened fire while he was gravely wounded! He was truly a hero. Our country needs more men like him. I wish to extend my condolences to his family and may you find comfort and hope to continue living without him.

I keep saying how much I miss you and I couldn't miss you more and that's a lie because something comes up that reminds me of you or something I need to talk to my big brother about and your not here and I miss you that much more when I really thought it wasn't possible!! This world is making me crazy and you would be so sad to be here with all that is going on.. I know that you are aware of how hard it is down here for all of us "survivors" I am glad as these Officers..these Heroes are making their way to heaven you are there to welcome them. I miss and love you!!

I was searching Ohio and saw your photo. I instantly heard your radio traffic that I've listened to so many times. We never met, but in doing a background check I met a young man who was issued some of your equipment. I want your loved ones to know that we are strangers but I have love in my heart for you and your family.

Today I participated in a Hero's Bike ride just north of Houston and I was given a wrist band with Officer Andrew Dunn's name and EOW date. As I peddled 52 miles today, I thought about and prayed for your family all day. I prayed that God will pour out His love in a fresh way to all of you who continue to miss Andrew. It was an honor to ride on his behalf. Trust in God!

Andy,
I am missing you so much lately...I could really use my big brother right now. I used to hate when you would give me your advice when I didn't ask, I took your advice more than I would ever admit to you...now when I really need/want it I don't have it!! I love you and miss you more everyday, please keep watch over our guys!!
