My most heartfelt condolences go out to everyone who knew and loved these brave men. My family lost our officer, Philip Davis, on 12-04-09 so I truly know the pain you are feeling.
To all his fellow officers and friends, I know you are hurting but please remember that these families will need the support of the community long after the publicity fades. If you make a promise to help and support them, make sure to follow through. Check on them, offer to help, do yardwork, home repairs; not just this year, but the next and the next. Yes, it will be awkward sometimes and uncomfortable but they will need you and need to know their loved ones are remembered. Keep your promises.
