Julie was a good person and role model. She was always willing to give advise to us or answer questions. Julie was the epitome of what many of us strive to be in the park service. Rest in peace Julie. Deepest Condolences to her family.

His Judgment Day:
The officer stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shinning, Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, Officer, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek To my church have you been true?"
The officer squared his shoulder and said, "No, Lord, I guess I aint, Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was rough, And sometimes I've been violent Because the streets are tough.
But I never took a penny That wasn't mine to keep.. Though I worked a lot of overtime, when the bills got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept an unmanly tear.
I know I don't deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't...I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne, where the saints often trod. As the officer waited quietly for the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, Officer. You've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on heaven's streets, You've done your time in hell"

Julie and I were partners on Isle Royale National Park at the Malone Bay Ranger Station in 2002. She was my only companion for weeks at a time and we shared a lot of adventures together. Julie did everything with her whole heart and was always eager to learn and she lived life to the fullest. May the God of all comfort be with her family and friends.

Working with Julie at INHP was a pleasure . You could always count on a wave and a smile as she passed by , no matter how busy she was. Her calm demeanor ,and her winning personality were always evident in all situations . Whether dealing with urgent situations or gently consoling a child who had scraped a knee , she was always the total professional . I will always remember her fondly and keep her in my memory .She will be missed . Rest well Julie . God Bless You .

Julie you will be missed. You were in my tactics group that I taught pre injury and post injury. You were one of the rare jems that come through that make teaching fun. You were dedicated, focused to the task and fun to be around. You will be missed by everyone that knows you and you will be missed by the NPS family as well. My prayers go out to your family. Rest in Peace Julie.

Julie, words cannot adequately express the deep sorrow and sense of loss felt by the members of the Independence Visitor Center here in Philadelphia, when we received the dreadful news of your terribly premature departure. Your very presence, your willingness to help, and especially your calm and serene manner were an example for us all on how to care for others no matter how emotional the situation. You led by example and your conduct was always a wonderfully positive reflection upon yourself as a law enforcement official, and the entire National Park Service, Law Enforcement Division. Our deepest condolences go out to your colleagues in the Service and above all to your family

Thank you for your service and rest in peace.
