Reflections for Correctional Officer Jayme Lee Biendl

Rest in Peace sister Jayme! Watch over those left behind to carry on for you. Thank you for your dedication. It takes true courage and professionalism to do the job well as you did. To your fellow officers, stay safe and know there are people that respect what you do for the cities, counties, states, and federal government that you work for and the people in the communities you serve. You are professional law enforcement officers. God bless you and your families! To Jayme's family and friends, know she is watching over you and you are in our prayers. May God wrap his arms around you in this most difficult time.

I am really sorry to hear of this loss. I was attacked by an inmate in 06/08/2003, and had my jaw broken and wired shut for four (4) months and many other complications, along with PTSD which still is valid today, after going back for four years, which then became too much to handle and with the safety and security of my fellow officers in my mind I finally had to leave the job. I have since become a very strong advocate for corrections officers who very often are the forgotten piece of the law enforcement family. I am very sorry for this loss, and I want to express my sorrow to her fellow working brothers and sisters.

We all know it can happen,
When we put our Colors on.
It only takes an instant,
Then one of us is gone.

...Day to day we walk our beat,
In God we put our faith.
‘Cause we’re the law inside the wall,
We keep the Public safe.

You’ve done the job that few can do,
Your shift is at an end.
Farewell my Sister, Rest in peace,
On you we could depend.See More

Isaiah 6:8- "I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me."

It is with great sorrow that we offer our sincerest condolences on the loss of Officer Biendl. As police cadets, we have been taught a great many things but one cannot teach how to cope with the loss of a brother in this new family we have been welcomed into. What we have learned is that this calling is not for the weak, the timid, or the faint of heart/character. Armed with that knowledge we may not have known the individual but we do know the type of man and can be eternally grateful for the ultimate sacrifice given in the protection of others. Our Thoughts and prayers are with you,

I am a Warrior...

I fight not for glory or fame,
For they are momentary.
I fight for those who can't.
I fight for Justice.
I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden.
And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets,
For I serve to protect the innocent.
It matters not where or when,
For evil knows no boundaries.
Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny,
I will not flee.
Justice is my weapon.
Faith is my shield.
Hope is my armor.
Cry not at my passing,
For it was my Honor to fight for you.
Shed not tears of sorrow,
But tears of joy,
For now,
I stand with God.
