My heart and prayers are with you son, parents, family, friends and coworkers today as they face your EOW, I know that the pain in their hearts is so heavy today as it is most days. Mandy, on your birthday tomorrow I will honor it with great memories. I will remember you driving your green Gran Torino , you nicknamed the Tank, you covered head to toe with mud after riding our motorcycles, your smile when we were caught toilet papering coach Nick's house. I miss you Chup! RIP Love, San

Detective Haworth was one of the best. Back in 1992 I had a chance to meet this outstanding officer when we were both up-and-coming officers. While in different departments our experiences were quite similar as all in law enforcement can attest. While we only met face-to-face on that one day, during a shared training exercise, she was an officer that was easy to remember because of her strong ethics when it came to her job and life in general. I had always hoped that I would run into Amanda again, it hurts sorely that it had to be here, in this way. Now that she is with our maker, she is in a better place. With only good thoughts and wishes to her family, Capt. Jose Monterio, MNHP.

It's been 93 days since you were killed. The calendar on the wall still has your writing for the week of January 17,2011. Your reading glasses are still on the nightstand.
Time stands still in that house, but you disappeared into thin air.
I didn't get to say goodbye to you on that day. I am not sure that I could have anyway. I am sorry that you left this world in such a terrible way. I know that you were not ready and didn't want to go. My head still spins every time I open my eyes and face another day without you. Where did you go? I miss you so much, I would give anything to hold you again. Please wait for me.........

I will always love you, un beso.

God Bless Amanda and her family. I am the same age as she, and her death resonated with my family. She and her partner will be missed in spirit by all of their fellow officers.

Thank you Detective for all you did for your community. You were a sister officer I never had the pleasure of meeting. Every time an officer dies, I think of the effect it has on the families, especially when that officer is a mother. I think of the sacrifices our families make every day. My friends in Miami Dade who knew you said you were an exceptional person. My prayers are with you, your family, and your colleagues.

Amanda,

I was searching through law enforcement agencies in Florida to apply to when I stumbled upon a tribute video on the Miami-Dade PD website. It was such a surreal feeling seeing the name "Haworth" associated with a fallen officer.

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiancé Dennis. Every time I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the officer they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Detective Haworth. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. Should you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. (The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me. I can also be found on Face Book.) You will be in my thoughts.

From reading the reflections left for Amanda, she sounds like she was a great woman with a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew her in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember Amanda's life and the WOMAN that she was. Remember that Amanda's life was about so much more than the way she died. Amanda will continue to live on as long as we continue to remember her.

Detective Haworth, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my late fiancé Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been eight years and he's still very much missed and forever loved.

Wishing you brighter and better days,

Jocelyne :)

I miss you, Mandy. But I know you are watching, and hopefully laughing at some of the things that have happened. We know you've had a hand in a few of them. Know you are always on our minds and forever in our hearts.

Thought of you often this week Mandy as I taught a class of new recruits at our police academy. I saw your picture on their wall of fallen officers in their classroom. I pointed out your picture and told the class what an incredible person you were and how you touched the lives of everyone who came in contact with you...Godspeed my friend
