John 5:28, 29 - "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

In 2011, I lived in Tucson, AZ, a mile down the street from the Safeway shooting site. That was and still is so difficult to deal with. Twelve days later, I was sitting in my office at the computer and a headline appeared that read that 2 officers in Miami were killed while serving a warrant. I don't know what made me click that article, but I did... and my heart sank. For more than 3 years, I worked at the University of Miami in the School of Communication's Graduate Studies Office when I was a student. Mandy and her 2 sisters used to call all the time to talk to their mom and I often answered the phone. I also grew up in Miami Springs, where Mandy's father lives. I still think about your family sometimes and hope you all are doing okay.

Rest in peace Detective Haworth. Your valor, bravery and honor won't be forgotten. Last night in North Miami Beach, Florida there was a memorial for a Rabbi killed on August 9, 2014. Major Plascencia who runs the Intercoastal District, her husband, Detective Plascencia killed the man who took your life and your partner's. Heroes and heroines through and through.

mandy:
i still remember that day when i recieved two phone calls, one from my mom to tell me an officer had been shot. i immediately went on the web and found out it was you. i then got a call from jeff lampert and he filled me in more, as we both shed several tears. i immediately remember us in the academy..ble 123...were were defensive tactics partners and i had several bruises from being toss across the mats by you. i had the pleasure of working with you in central and hammocks. i come to this page quite often and when i look at your picture i instantly hear your familiar giggle. rest in peace and i'll see you again someday. you are missed by all who knew you. it took me this long to say goodbye to one of the best cops that ever put on a badge.
