As I sit here with tears rolling down my cheeks I can only think about how many times something like this could have happened to me. May you live forever in the hearts and minds of your children, husband, friends, family and coworkers.

I check this web site several times a week as a reminder to myself of how fragile life is and of how fortunate I am that I've managed to make it home every night after 20 plus years as a local and federal officer. To Deputy Hopper and the rest of the brave law enforcment officers around the world who have been called to make the ultimate sacrafice, we thank you and praise your courage and commitment. Rest in Peace, we'll take it from here.

Im so sorry about this I had worked with 2 Troopers that got killed in a car crash at the same post I was working at and there are no words to describe it. Loss of a co-worker Loss of a Brother and most of all Loss of a family member when you work with someone for a long period of time you see them alot different than the public does and you become very close and the last thing you ever want to here is that your friend has been hurt or killed . I wish the Clark County Sheriffs Department my deepest regrets that this is a tragedy and should have never happened.
