Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.

To fully honor our heroes of the present, we must
recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 70th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

It is a sad commentary to hear that a person had done 7 years (only 7 years) for murder and to later murder again. The most disturbing fact that an officer trying to quiet and altercation and was murdered by this person who obviously intended the murder and not assisted by the crowd.

My very best regards to the family of Deputy Murray and all of the officers of the East Carroll Parish Sheriff's Department. You deserve more.

I cannot even begin to imagine the pain a family feels when an officer dies like this. Deputy, I don't know you personally, but I'm sure you were a good person. I hope you've found peace now.
