For Police Officer John Maguire:

It is not enough for us to profusely lament this day for our brother John. Our hearts are overpowered with grief for his family, yet we refrain not from a burst of pride at John's overwhelming courage in a battle to survive. We further stand in unforgettable awe at his determined resolve to fiercely fight, and succeed to slay he that would murder him. And, all whilst those who were complicit would attempt to scamper as the cowards they be. We rejoice at the swift action by those who made the capture before the accomplices were to vanish from sight. It clearly makes known that we stand as one. Forever.

We pray for John's family, friends, co-workers, those who came to his aid, and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another in the days ahead.

I am supremely proud and enormously honored to render Officer John Maguire, a most valiant soldier-of-the-law, a final salute.
