I think about you every day I get into or just walk by my patrol car with your name and EOW date on the magnets. I remember when you were a new Deputy in Sec 3 and I'd back you up. It was a pleasure to work once again with you in Sector 3. Watch over us and take care of us as you patrol in heaven. Forever in our hearts.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pride and pain are forever.

Brandon -

I just left the candlelight service held at the courthouse, and was very pleased at the turnout. You have made an indelible mark on so many lives here, for more reasons than I care to list. I still carry my challenge coin bearing your name, and am off to celebrate your life with some old TAC friends. Rest easy...

Hey Brandon, I can't believe it has been a year.. I didn't know you all that well just from work when we would talk. I remember your smile, your demeanor was awesome, and when I close my eyes I can still see your sign signature. You never seemed to have a bad day. I also remember how much you loved your wife. I know the guys are taking care of her, (so I hear) I am praying for you, your wife, and your family everyday and that your soul rest in peace. You gave the ultimate sacrifice. You'll never be forgotten brother. See you on the other side, we all know you’re watching over us. And happy belated birthday..

Brandon, it is the day before Thanksgiving and it is quiet in the PBA office in Orlando where I work as the secretary. Quiet except for when John Park flies through here like a whirlwind! I didn't know you had been in Afghanistan, where my son is now serving. I have read and cried over at least 10 of the memorials to you. I can't imagine how difficult it is for your family (and truly, other loved ones) at this time of year, yet I know you would not want them to be mourning for you, but would want them to just love one another, for you know better than anyone how precious each moment here is. What an honor it is to be getting to know you through your friends' loving tributes. God Bless your family and friends and thank you for your service to your city and your country. A TRUE American hero, gone but never forgotten.

Brandon, the night of your funeral as I drove down Highway 50, I asked for a sign that you were up there watching over the brothers and sisters of OCSO and OPD. I just wanted to let you know I saw the shooting star going down highway 50 and towards Orlando.

Thank you for watching over my loved ones. You are not forgotten.

You still bring me strength. I find myself hanging out with you on 45th more then I would have imagined. Your good deeds and hard work for the agency and the country have not been forgotten. I am working on some thing; I hope you'd approve. Sometimes we have to take one step back in order to take two steps forward. I am, and will continue to seek your guidance.

Although I did not know you, your death touched me deeply. Such a waste of a young life that held so much promise. I have stopped by the makeshift memorial several times to pay my respects a say a prayer. As you patrol the roads in Heaven, know that you touched many hearts that had never even met you. RIP DFC Coates.

"B",
On this three month aniversary of your passing I have finally gathered enough courage to write on your "wall". There is not one day that goes by that I dont think about you. As baseball spring training is upon us I think about our friendship and shared love of baseball. I think about all of our time together in the Marine Corps during deployments and in "the hills" as zone partners. We were always there for one another and I am truly sorry I was not there three months ago to be there for you when you needed me most. When I received my award from the S.O. I coulnt help but be brought to tears knowing I owed everything to you. You took me on my ride along that got me hooked to this job. You took me under your wing after I got hired and we had a blast together. I am so thankful God gave me the oportunity to know you for as long as I did. You were an amazing person, friend, husband, cop and Marine. We all should try to be a little bit more like you. I miss you buddy, Semper Fi.
