Sam will be missed by a lot of people. He was a personable, kind hearted Police Officer and co-worker. He never thought he was above anyone else, but knew he wanted to serve the people and did it very well. He made sure to acknowledge everyone he was in contact with. My thoughts and prayers go

Sam Brownlee was a Peace Officer of the Highest standard and Caliber. He went above and beyond everyday and helped any one he could. He will be missed dearly here in Weld County by his fellow deputies and surrounding law enforcement agencies who worked with him.

It is not how these officer died that made them a hero...Its how they lived.
