Reflections for Police Officer Sergio Arturo Antillon

I was very sad and shocked when your sister called me this morning @ 6:45am and told me the news. I hurt to know that because of and ignorant lady your life was cut short. Since you were little you were always full of life. You had a full life ahead of you with so many hopes and dreams. You are now up in heaven suffering no longer. You will be missed but your memory will live on.

Any life lost is a tragedy, but one so young and no doubt had a promising future is heartbreaking. To Officers Antillon's family I know words will never comfort you, but my heart and prayers go out to your family, since 3 years ago my family lost a family member as well, Josh Norris. Like your love one he also had just started his career and still had a life to live. What has helped me is, trust in your faith and turn to God to give you strength to met each new morning. Officer Antillon, thank you for your service, it is young men like you that gives me hope for the future. Rest in Peace.

Our prayers and sympathy go out to his family. I think that anyone that gets behind the wheel after drinking should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I know that this loss is hard but knw that he died doing what he love and that was helping others.

"A Part of America Died"

Somebody killed a police officer today
and a part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect
will be buried with him at his side.
Somebody killed a police officer today
it happened in your town and mine.
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors
a cop put his life on the line.
Now his ghost has the beat
on a dark city street
and he stands at each rookie's side.
A cop answered the call
of himself gave his all
and a part of America died.
