--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Somebody killed a police officer today
and a part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect
will be buried with him at his side.
Somebody killed a police officer today
it happened in your town and mine.
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors
a cop put his life on the line.
Now his ghost has the beat
on a dark city street
and he stands at each rookie's side.
A cop answered the call
of himself gave his all
and a part of America died.

Thank you for being you...

Thank you for being someone a rookie officer could look up to Tim. You taught me alot about being a better police officer and a better man. Why the Lord took you from this earth so soon will be a mystery until the day we share laughs again. You have touched so many and will be missed by each and every one of them. Rest easy Tim, you can go 10-8 for the remainder. Your friend, "17A1".

Dear Mrs.Prunty and family!

Tim was one of the sweetest man I have ever had the pleasure to meet! He was so dedicated, and outgoing, and loved him family and work, and fellow officers! I met Tim over 8 years ago, and He was just kind, and warm, and was there and willing to help no matter who you were he never would turn a blind eye, he was always right there first to respond and to back up his fellow officer's! I am so sorry that this senseless act had to happen to him or anyone! This man that was disturbed should have just decided to take it out on himself and not be such a coward to go after someone that was minding his own business waiting to go on the next call that needed him! Now his family has to go on without a wonderful man and husband, father in their lives bc of this loser decided he didn't want 2 deal with life and still was a coward to not just take his own life! I wish you all the best, and prayer's for all the family, friends, and officer's in this time of need, and sadness!

I didn't know Sgt Prunty, but I read about his accomplishments and I think he was a truly remarkable man. My husband has the same vigor for his job and it is what he is was meant to do. It scares me, but it is his calling. God Bless you Sgt Prunty I'm sure you were a wonderful man. Heaven is lucky to have you even though we're sadder here.
