To Officer Will Phillips, to all family members and friends who call him beloved, and to his law enforcement family:

I was sorry to learn of Will's death and extend my sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you have suffered. Words are insufficient to describe the sadness I feel for the Phillips family. May you find comfort in your faith and the support of the law enforcement community.

There are many police survivors who share this same journey with you, and that community will be there to support you. Will's memory will be forever honored and revered.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the distinquished service Will gave to his community and the citizens of Indiana and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made September 30, 2010.

I wanted to send my condolences to the family and fellow officers of Officer Phillips. His life should not be defined on how he passed, but rather the great duties he performed and the family his legacy will leave behind. Those who never knew him still feel a great loss and are grateful to him for what he was able to accomplish in life. God bless!

Your life was cut short. We on earth may never understand, but you know that the Lord thought it was your time. You served and protected us, gave your all so we could rest in peace at night. You will never be forgotten. Know that your wife and kids will be taken care of down here. Your LE family will make sure of that. We mourn you now and forever. We will continue to fight the fight in your name, 251!

Being not American born, but loving this country as mine, I have on each police officer I see a certainty that they are there for me, I am protected. Many times they are as shield to keep us away from harm. And I am so grateful for that.
So I pray for this police officer's wife and children, all his family and friends, at this so heartaching time. May God wrap all in His perfect love and comfort and heal their pain for this loss.
May God have Police Officer William Edward Phillips III in His peace.
My gratitude for his work in behalf of his human brothers and sisters. My gratitude for all those who work protecting us. May God bless all of you.
