We are extremely honored to have known Jim and to have been his friends and "hunting buddies". For the past 12+ years, Jim was welcomed into our home along with other friends and family for our annual "Deer Camp". Not once did we ever consider him a "guest", he was always considered part of our family.
He has been a great role model for our son, Colby who looked up to him and always looked forward to his visits. He was devistated when he found out about Jim's tragic accident. Colby is 9 now and I have no doubt that he will always remember Jim and the wonderful times they shared together. They will always be special to him.
We will all miss his smiling face, his great personality and his wonderful sense of humor. I hope he knew how much we cared about him and the impact he made on our lives. Although he won't physically be here for deer season any longer, he will forever be in all of our hearts and minds.
We will NEVER forget you Jim!
Our deepest sympathy to all of his friends and family.
Respectfully,
Rick, Cindy & Colby Eilerman

Rest in peace, brother Fowler. Your tenure in LE speaks volumes regarding your dedication to service and fulfillment of your oath. Moreover, after 34 years-of-service, you were enroute to an in-service class for LEO's so as to further your police education and provide a specialized service to the public. Wow, what a model officer! In my opinion: To emulate your gallant service would be an honor for new/veteran LEO's.

We support and pray for your family...

Jim was our close friend and neighbor for 11 years. Dan, my husband and Jim put up Christmas lights that grew to be a neighborhood treat of more than 10,000 lights on all of the pine trees around our houses. They would start in late November. We moved away 6 years ago and we missed Jim and Suzy very much as close neighbors. We are saddened by Jim's sudden death. Our love to Suzy and Jim's family.
