To the family of Officer Reed, in my years in law enforcement I have seen many officers pay the ultimate sacrifice. Although God never puts more on us then we can handle, another officer lost is just unbearable. I have know his mother in law Vi Callender for years and she altered my Honor Guard uniform to bury one of my best friends. I am sorry for the pain you are enduring. Know you are in my prayers and you are never alone. You have a police family and many officers to protect you and guide you. Love and Prayers from Norfolk Police Dept.

It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived. ~ General George Patton

Motorcops like us share the pleasure of riding, share the badge, share the respect of citizens, share and share the respect of other cops. Sometimes though, we are reminded in this painfull way that we share the same vulnerability. Rest in peace and ride the streets of heaven my dear fellow motorcop. We'll take the watch from here.
