Rest In Peace Brother. You are not forgotten.

Officer Mike Robinson, (Ret)
Upland Police Dept. CA

For clarification, Officer Bowers was recognized at both State (CA) and National Police Memorials. He was also recognized by the City of Maywood and a brass plaque was placed at a tree at Maywood Park. Before Maywood PD disbanded, the last Police Chief honored Officers Bowers, Hoglund and Kelley by having 3 stars embroidered on uniform shoulder patches. May God bless these 3 men for their ultimate sacrifice while in the line of duty.

I worked for the maywood police department for approximately 6 years and no one ever mention or recognized your sacrifice to the citizens of maywood. Rip

Now that LASD patrols the city, i hope they recognize your sacrifice to the city.
