Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Thor Odin Soderberg

Of all the bystanders, You came to stop a crime. Thank you for keeping a safer community. To know that there are people like you that will not hesitate to place yourself in harms way so that others may live in a safe, peaceful community. Your courageous devotion to duty reflected great credit upon yourself and were in keeping with the highest traditions of a police officer.

My heartfelt condolences to this officer's family and friends. I did not know this officer very well, but members of my family knew him and worked with him. From personal experience, the loss of this Officer is devastating for his family and friends and their lives will forever feel a void.

I know that there are no words to ease your pain. Do not waste your time or energy with anger at the assaliant. Focus on Officer Soderberg, live the life he would have wanted for you. It isn't about the assaliant, he took the life of your loved one, don't allow him to take or change the person that Officer Soderberg knew and loved.

The only reassurance I have from the horrific incident is that I know my fallen officer will be waiting to welcome him in heaven and knowing that, helps ease the heartache.
