Dear Jeff:

What can be said about a man who gave his life to protect those who cannot protect themselves? A man who answered the cry of the wolf at the door, a man who so believes in the ideals and dreams of our Founding Fathers, that ALL Americans shall live free of fear, that he died for those dreams? What can be said is simple: HERO.

The pain in this, is compounded by the knowledge that your about to be born child, will NEVER know what it's like to hug Daddy, or play with Dad, listen to bedtime stories, surprise Mom with flowers or gifts for Mother's Day.

And your wife...who now is faced with the task of raising a child without her husband, to face life without the man she tried to build a life with, share dreams with, cry and laugh with. Grow old together.

Your Mom, who went through 9 months of hell to give you life, and years of sacrifice and hopes, to raise her son to become someone our society looks up to, and now is left with memories and a broken heart.

And most of all, you, Jeff. Never will you know the joy of holding your new born child, to soothe the baby when it cries, or to look into your wife's eyes and know the love she has for you, by giving birth to your child; or to watch the child, if it were a girl, grow into a woman and share her special private moments only fathers and daughters can share; or if it is a son, to watch him grow into man, watching him take his first shave, or make his first sounds of a man, or having his own family, or play ball with him, or just loving him as only a Dad can.

And the law enforcement community. Our blue line just got thinner, but the line WILL hold. In your memory we carry on the task of protecting those we are sworn to protect, risking our lives, and leaving our families for our tour of duty, with them fully aware we may not come home. But our promise to you, your family and those who read this, now and forever: the animals that did this horrible, despicable act, will NEVER know peace, and will be hunted, and justice, not revenge, WILL BE SERVED, so help us God.

May you rest in peace, and as you walk through the Gates of Heaven, I am certain that Almighty God will say to you; "Welcome Home, Jeff". God bless you, God bless police officers, your family, and God Bless America> Amen

Palm Beach Sheriff's Office

Rest now brother, but know your work is not yet done. There will be a time which for you may have already come. Like those who have served before you. You will be called upon to comfort an Officer, Deputy or Special Agent who is alone, in pain and looking for someone, anyone to provide them with the strenght to fight for just a few seconds more. It will be at that time that you will answer your final call. You will be there strength, you will have their back and you will if necessary take them home. So rest now brother we will take it from here and finish what you have started.
