Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Caroline Green

God didn’t promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain; but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way.

Rest in peace!

Never forget that she was a true hero, sacrificing self to "serve and protect" others. What a noble and honorable calling she undertook!

My words can't ease your pain. Just know that I have/am walked in your shoes and I can promise you that God's mercy and grace awaits with outstretched arms. On the darkest of days He will always be there. Let others love you and help you. And always know that strangers like me will be praying for those left behind for months and years to come.

spouse of ATSAIC Chris Smith, US Secret Service

For Deputy Sheriff Caroline Green:

None of us that wear the badge can be free of the risk of being involved in a crash, either in our patrol vehicle or our personal vehicle. When such incidents occur, the best we can hope for is to survive and to continue with our service to the public. We regret learning of the unfortunate circumstances leading to the loss of our sister Caroline this day. We recognize her as a hero for making the ultimate sacrifice while in the performace of her duty.

We pray for Caroline's family, friends, co-workers and all who care about her. May the be ready to reach-out to one another in the times ahead.

As a retired trooper and a retired Lake County (FL) deputy sheriff, I am proud to render Deputy Caroline Green a final salute.

Cpl. Ralph D. Fiorenza (Ret.)
