I have great memories of judo matches with Renee, a fierce and honorable competitor. I am not surprised that her career as a police officer was one of honor and courage. I am greatly saddened to hear of your death, but your family can take comfort in that you lived a noble life.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was murdered on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

We will never forget any of our 9/11 officers and fallen heroes. I pray for the solace of all those who love and remember you for I know both their pain and pride are forever. Rest In Peace.
