Officer Wortham - What a another senseless loss of a police officer. I feel so for your family, friends and co-workers. I will keep all of you in my prayers. Tom, less then a week ago we were just in Washington D.C together at the Police memorial and now your gone, I cant believe this, we were there for Valadez who was killed less then a year ago, and now your gone too, I will never forget this week for the rest of my life, and was happy that we spent last weekend in D.C together.

My heart goes out to Tommy's family and friends. I first met him when I was attending UW-Whitewater. His intensity and dedication to his country and community struck me as amazing from the moment I met him. In the past several years we haven't been in contact as much, but we did talk occasionally when he was in Iraq.

To his family - I'm so sorry for your loss, he was an incredible person, a true example of a good man, a kind man with a good heart and a beautiful soul.

This tragedy has caused many of us grief. I attended the Police Memorial and meet many of Officers from Chicago PD. It saddens my heart to know that your name will be engraved on the Memorial Wall. But, my dear fellow Officer...You will never be forgotten as I saw with my own eyes how powerful and uplifting it is to Honor the Fallen Heroes. You are my Hero and I will never forget you!
