What a devastating loss today of one of law enforcement's best. What those boys were thinking is beyond me...how can anyone just go up to a car and w/o hesitation or remorse, just shoot someone sitting in their vehicle! I pray that justice is served...I pray that the Bergeron family, friends & extended family through the Police Dept. can find a way to move on after losing such an amazing officer, man, father, husband, friend, mentor, and inspiration to all those who knew him! Lord Bless and watch over them all ^j^

We have had trouble with our neighbor for the last 2 years.
Joe B. (as he signed his emails) was my contact at the Maplewood PD. Whenever our neighbor gets out of hand I knew I could just turn to Joe and he'd take care of us.
He was my friend, our security against this creep, I feel
his loss on a personal level. God Bless his wife and daughters, he spoke fondly of them. Our prayers are with
them and the rest of the Law Enforcement Community.

I heard the news of a Maplewood officer being killed and my heart sunk. When I heard the name Joe Bergeron my heart broke. Joe was one of the truly great officers I worked with. I remember his common sense approach and his calm demeanor. I remember his kind advice to me.
I can not believe this has happened. I am so very sorry for his loss, he will be missed greatly. My condolences to his wife and 2 daughters, and the entire Maplewood PD.
