Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Ian Michael Deutch

Unbelievable. To survive a war zone serving our country, only to return and serve in another war zone and be murdered 2 day later. My prayers, my families and friends are with you, your family and your department. Watch over us as you walk in heaven my friend, you are in Gods arms now.

It is impossible to put into words the sorrow I feel for the family and friends of Deputy Deutch. This man must have truely been and angel on earth who was chosen to finish his duty in heaven. It is so very hard to read of such a tragedy happening to someone who was obviously a "True Hero" and not ask WHY? I promise to not ask Why for that question is unable to be answered in this lifetime. Please do not lose your faith and to continue to believe this was Gods will. Deputy Deutch may you rest in peach knowing that you are admired and honored by someone who although has never met you truely feels the pain of your familys loss. You, your family and friends are forever in my thoughts and prayers as my family and I have had to struggle with the recent loss of my neices husband who also made the untimate sacrifice while in the line of duty. R.I.P and as you join your brothers above please watch over us and help us to help each other get through the pain of loosing those so dear to our hearts.

"I have only slipped away into the next room, I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Call me by my old familiar name. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Play, smile, think of me. All is well."

It saddens me to hear of yet another law enforcement professional killed as he fought to protect those he served. As a combat veteran from Iraq, I know too well the horror and crime of war. To survice this, only to come home and lose his life, is magnified enormously. Deputy Sheriff Ian Michael Deutch will live on as a hero to all of America. I will keep his family and co-workers in my prayes. God bless each one of you...

This is a very sad day for the Nye County Sheriffs Office. My thought and prayers go out to Deputy Deutch's family and to his brothers and sisters of the NCSO. I had always hoped that my family would have carried the title of last officer killed in the line of duty for NCSO forever. I guess that was not ment to be. Deputy Deutch you served your country, county and community with the upmost bravery. I did not have the pleasure of knowing you, but it appears that you were an amazing person, deputy and soldier. May you rest in peace and know that you will not be forgotten.
