I knew Chico for 20+ years-professionally and personally. I loved him, as did my family. He was a great cop, fantastic father, and was truly kind. I miss him.

Chico,
Not a day goes by without you on my mind. Although we never got the chance to meet, I see all the best of you shine through Victor.
Thank you for sharing your best friend with me, as I now get to call him husband. You'd be so proud of him and the man he has become. I hope the life and family we've started together has you smiling from above.
Don't worry - Victor is still a White Sox fan and we will forever call it Sox Park.

We love you. We miss you everyday. "Always on our minds and forever in our hearts"

Cesar, my best man and very best friend. I think of you often and as you know we visit in my dreams. I have many people in my life but no one will ever replace you. I will never forget you and take comfort in knowing that we will be together again one day in the presence of God. Until then, rest in peace.

Had the pleasure of meeting "Officer Chico" many times when I was with the Village of Skokie ESDA. He was a super friendly officer, one that really earned a lot of people's respect. I'm still in shock over his passing.

RIP Officer Chico, and thank you for your service.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 3rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to my home state and the birthplace of my son. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know that both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your friends for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their refletions.

Chico,

It was a pleasure knowing since I was a kid and you were my DARE officer. It's too bad I never had the chance to work with you at SPD. I will keep you & your family in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace my brother.

I ran in the National Police Week Memorial Run today in Washington DC. Officer Velazquez's name was on my bib, and I ran in his name as did several others. I am so sorry for his loss. I was honored to run today and wanted to express that and my appreciation for his service and dedication.
