Reflections for Corporal Thomas Paul Jensen

Though I live in Pennsylvania, my heart remains in the hustle & bustle of the metro DC area where I was born and raised and where you worked and called home.

Prayers to your family and loved ones. May God's grace and mercy be upon them. In the meantime, we've got the watch Brother, be at peace.

Tommy, just thinking about you as always and missing you so very very much. There is not a day that goes by that I don't say hello to you, good morning or just talk to you a little. I know you are so proud of Kristelle and all she is doing to try and help others and all of us. All four of your boys are doing good and help Kristelle everyday. I wish you were here as we are getting ready for the beach but just know you will be there with us in our hearts. I love you honey and miss you so much. I send you lots of kisses and hugs.

I can't believe it's been a year. I still think that I am going to see you walk around the corner and say "what's up Fu$&@#". Ever time I think about you a smile comes to my face and I start laughing. I guess that means you left your mark on me. I miss you buddy. I will see you again...but not yet.

Tommy, I think you have been missed, loved and honored in the past year more than you will ever know. I have no words to begin to describe the loss that Stella, family and friends have felt over this past year. Time has definitely passed but yet the sadness over our loss yet remains. I know that time will heal but will take much longer to do so than the time which has already passed. I have no doubt you have watched over each of us and tried to lessen the hurt and sorrow of not having you hear with us....Tommy you will continue to be in our hearts, our memories and our prayers and please know that you are missed as much today as the day you were called home. RIP Tommy, I love ya and miss you very much! XO

Hey Tommy, It still feels like everything happened yesterday. I know you would be very proud of the way everyone , especially your wife and parents, have honored you. I have thought about you every single day. Everytime i wake up i wish this was all just a really bad dream but it isnt. You were my best friend, and i consider you my brother. Ive never been the type of person to show my emotions, but its been killing me inside. You are truely missed , but i know one day i will have the honor to stand by your side again in heaven. I love you and miss you !

Hi honey, this is going to be a tough Christmas without you and I want you to know that I love you and miss you more then I can say. We will help make it the best we can for Kristelle. I know with all she has done in your honor you are so proud of her. Now you and her daddy are both there to watch over her and keep her safe. It seems like just yesterday I was telling you that you couldn't open your Christmas presents until Christmas day and I wish you were here to bug me about them this year. I love you Tommy and miss you. Merry Christmas honey.

As you celebrate this, your first Thanksgiving without your loved one, please be aware that his service and sacrifice where not in vain. Though these words are small comfort on a day such as this, his brothers and sisters in law enforcement shall ensure that he and you are never forgotten! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones, may GOD bless you and keep you on this and every day!

Tommy,

It's Thanksgiving today, and looking back on this past year it has been long and hard. Every time I drive down Baltimore Ave at 193 I get the chills, and then I think about how much of you lives on with your family and friends. I am thankful to have known you and keep doing what you are doing and watching over us as we put the badge on and answer the call.

Can you tell my Dad I love him. He passed away last year on Thanksgiving Day and I know you could share a good joke with him.
