My most sincere sympathy and thoughts go to your family, friends, and co-workers during this difficult time. Your service will be remembered forever by those who loved you and served alongside you.

I've found myself under fire before (on more than one occasion), and by the of God, my fortunes were better than yours...Mr. Potts is now where he belongs, and so are you. Fortunately, you are not in the same place as him...

I wish I could have been there with you on that fateful day-we would've taken this monster down together, or I would have fallen beside you while trying.

I hope that the other young officer recovers, both physically and emotionally, from the trauma he suffers from as well.

Thank you for your dedicated service. Salute.

Retired Police Corporal

Rest in peace Jim. Your watch over your community was cut way too short. Prayers for your family as they say goodbye. Your brothers and sisters in the police community will never forget and only work harder to keep those that want to hurt us and others from doing so. Peace to you Jackson PD police family.

I was part of your community for so long, and it is easy to take for granted the safety that is provided to citizens everyday... I lost my friend Officer Paul Sciullo in Pittsburgh, PA, and he was doing what you do. Protecting and serving, regardless of the cost, for people you never got to meet. I know that you are up there in Heaven with Paul right now, and I know that you are in God's hands, and part of St. Michaels eternal army, continuing to protect. God bless your family and friends, and God bless your brothers and sisters in blue, as they work through your loss. I pray that they will find peace in their heart, knowing that you will never again have to know pain or suffering. Godspeed. And thank you for what you were willing to do for those around you.

To the family-- My prayers and thoughts will be with you tomorrow. I am sorry that a domestic violence call , has yet claimed another innocent person, especially an officer who had taken an oath to protect the rest of us. Tomorrow Canton Township will mourn over the loss of not only an officer, but a past resident.
