On Sunday Feburary 14, 2010 I sat down behind county radio getting ready for all my units to go 10-41 with me . Everyone did 973 and 971 together zone 2 dispatch, 9033 zone 5 dispatch, 9028 zone 1, 922 zone 3 then having done this for so many years I wrote in 937 zone 4. Sadden to realize that 929 was in zone 4 today. How could I work the radio and call zone 4 unit not 37. I've been dispatching for so many years but I can only remember 937 working a different zone and that was when 967 scrambled them up for two weeks after that I was so proud to hear 937 voice back in zone 4. Just last week Crawford called ask me to call Mr Anderson since he was old and couldnt get to the gate to let Crawford in would he give me his gate code to give to him and of course he did. Crawford we will miss you at dispatch . This shift is a favorite and when one person leaves we have to pull them closer together . I know you are in a better place now but we so need you still cruising around Bowdon . Please watch over each and everyone of us especially the ones out in the field help them to be a leader. God bless you and your family. I pray for the strength of the sheriff dept, community and your family to understand you are safe now. R.I.P.937

Davy. I really do not have words to express how I feel. I always thought alot of you. You were a very honest and hard working man. You always made me feel good when ever I saw you or we talked. You will be greatly missed by all of us. I will be serving on the Honor Guard for you. Although I really don't know if I have the strength to do it. I guess none of us will, but it will be a honor to do it for you. Rest in peace Davy.

His Judgment Day:
The officer stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shinning, Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, Officer, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek To my church have you been true?"
The officer squared his shoulder and said, "No, Lord, I guess I aint, Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was rough, And sometimes I've been violent Because the streets are tough.
But I never took a penny That wasn't mine to keep.. Though I worked a lot of overtime, when the bills got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept an unmanly tear.
I know I don't deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't...I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne, where the saints often trod. As the officer waited quietly for the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, Officer. You've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on heaven's streets, You've done your time in hell"
