We, in law enforcement, grieve with you at your profound loss. Trooper Richey, you will be missed by all of us, your community, and those who knew you best, your family. Thank you for your life long sacrifice in the service of others. May your family find some solace in the meaning your life brought to those whom you came in contact with. The evil were removed from amongst those they preyed upon, victims were granted justice, the poor and needy were comforted. The altar of freedom sometimes requires our full measure of sacrifice and devotion. You death, however senseless, is not in vain. Your brothers and sisters in tan and blue will carry the torch from here. Well done and may you rest in peace. God bless all those who put their lives on the line in the great cause of freedom.

Arizona Department of Public Safety
