Chris,

Brother, you are truly a hero and will always be in my thoughts, prayers, and heart. You are one of the greatest people I have had the privilege of ever meeting, let alone being able to call my friend and my brother. I talked to you last night when I was standing in the bank and as we were cracking our normal jokes, I never thought it would be the last time we spoke to each other.

Bro, you and I had some wild times together and raised more hell than I think anyone thought we were capable of when we were overseas (never will I forget our Carney Park incident LOL). Regardless of how bad it got we always stayed by each others’ side. No matter how bad things got we were always there together and we always came through as a team. We lived by the “you go; we go”; “Bro’s until the end no matter what” mindset. When I found out you were killed last night it felt as though the world came crashing down on my head.

The thought of you being gone and of your family not having you at home broke my heart in a way I can’t begin to describe. I want you to Rest Easy Friend and know that I am here and will always be there for Shelly and the girls. With my own little one on the way next month, please know that I will make sure he knows what a great man and friend you were to me.

You were and always will be my team mate, best friend, and my Bro. You are warrior and always took it to the max doing the things you love the most. Even though we won’t talk face to face again until my day comes, I know you are still around. People like us do not die; our bodies may go but our Warrior Spirit will always remain alive. While you stand the Eternal Watch over all of us, Rest Easy knowing that we have the watch down here and will make you proud. I’ll be in touch buddy, and when the day we meet again finally comes, the first round is on me.

Your Bro,

Matt

John 14:1-3
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.
In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

May God bless the Marano family during this difficult time.
